Eureka Montana Quilt Show
The fifth annual Eureka Montana Quilt Show is Aug. 1,
2009. The two days prior to the show will feature quilting workshops
at Lincoln County High School, Thursday and Friday, led by acclaimed
quilt teacher Sharon Pederson. The show will culminate in a Saturday
outdoor quilt show in the Historical Village from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In years past, hundreds of quilts from across North America decorated
Dewey Avenue, Eureka's main street, and all the buildings in the
Historical Village. Quilts are accepted from anyone interested in
displaying them.
As a best-selling author, celebrated teacher and lecturer, Sharon
Pederson has greatly influenced the art and craft of quiltmaking with
her techniques for reversible quilts.
In the first class, Pederson will be sharing her TWO at a Time -
Reversible Quilt techniques. The class covers the construction of the
basic block, joining them together, reversible binding , and more.
In the second class, participants will Applique for the Terrified.
Sharon will teach many exciting ways to applique quilts, with lots of
tips and tricks to make it easier.
The show will include a quilt sale. Quilts will be hung early on
Saturday morning before the show. Volunteers are sought to assist with
the process. |
