Eureka Hardware has made a huge transformation over the last year. The move into the much larger space of what used to be JBs Shopping Center has made a very big difference to the store.
Its changed drastically, said store manager Darrell McCully. Our new location is an overall success. Our sales are up, and our customers have had lots of good comments about the store, which is wonderful to hear.

Eureka Hardware has gone through many changes in the last nine years, according to McCully.
We have been on an uphill climb, McCully said. It has been a work in progress trying to bring in new customers and new products. Over the years we have tried to build up our inventory simply by listening to our customers. As sales rose, they brought in more product until they finally ran out of space and had to move into the new store. They now have a full paint department, a huge bolt and fasteners section, an in-depth housewares section, new ranch and pet supplies, lawn and garden supplies, barbecues and lawn furniture, and a full line of Makita power tools.
Overall, the whole store has expanded, explained McCully. The new space has allowed us to display and highlight the new items and products constantly being brought in. I think the community was ready for a bigger store. With the bigger selection in all our departments, we feel we have met a lot of needs.
Eureka Hardware was able to increase the staff in the summer for the increased business. No store is complete without a helpful staff, and Eureka Hardware is proud of its workers. Without them, we wouldnt have the great new store we have, McCully stated. It would be tough. With this much more square footage comes a lot more challenging things to do and learn.
Darrell joined the crew as store manager in 2000. Eureka Hardware is owned by Jan and T.J. Comstock. The father and son formed a partnership in 2006 under Northwest Hardware and now own three hardware stores total: Eureka Hardware here, Billings Hardware in Billings, and Roundup Hardware in Roundup.
The new store would not be possible without the support of the community, stated McCully. We appreciate all their input and look forward to helping them in the future.
