First, they didnt know how much moving they would be doing when they began their first small business, but they now feel settled into the right location in the community just off Highway 93 in the Stoken Building Complex with Jodis Quilts and Pamida Pharmacy. Not far from the post office, the bank, or the pharmacy, its a good public hub.
Its a more visible location with better parking for us, said Jennifer Deavours. And its more centrally located, so we see a lot more traffic.
The Deavours started a satellite store with a candy, gift, and toy section inside the Front Porch and Cutting Board on main street.
We thought it would work well with that kind of restaurant and atmosphere, Jennifer said. Its something for people to do and look at while they waited for their food. Jim and Marsha have been really good to work with, so it all meshes well.
Eureka Office Supplys motto is so much more than pen and paper, and they deliver on it. From pen and pencils to notebooks and art supplies, the essentials are all there with copying and fax services alongside an assortment of gifts. In addition to all that, theyve added nostalgic candies, toys, and scrapbooking to the mix.
Theres a lot more space, and were able to carry more inventory because of the space we have, she added.
That included the old time candy like Russell Stovers and Whitmans candies, wax lips, spearmint leaves, and Wonka bars.
People have been really glad that we added them, Jennifer said. Its something Dave wanted to do, and he saw a spot for it.
The store also carries handmade cards by Carrie Schmidt and Michelle Peterson and photo and art cards by Kathie Phillips, Jack DeWitt, and Steve Parker.
Sharon Roo and Carrie Schmidt help keep the store running, Jennifer pointed out, with Sharon being a part of the store since the start and Schmidt joining the team with the move to the new location in January 2009.
We try to make this a store that makes it easier for people office supplies and gifts without going to Kalispell, Jennifer added. And we can order many things we dont have in stock. Hopefully its a convenience for businesses and individuals.
The Deavours would like to thank folks for shopping in Eureka.
