Since January of 2006, Cheryl Pasque has been operating the Woolery Mammoth – a place for all the knitters and spinners in the area to find quality yarns and fibers.

Cheryl Pasque is the owner of the Woolery Mammoth.

With “one-of-a-kind” handspun yarns, and a variety of wools, silks, alpaca, and other fibers, the Woolery Mammoth provides a large selection for our little community. The second thing it does is allow local raisers of wool or other fibers to have an outlet to sell some of their product.
Pasque has already established that feature with fiber coming from Val Hogan’s Poverty Flats Animal Sanctuary in Eureka, which produces roving and yarn made from wool, mohair, and alpaca. Pasque also gets products from an organic sheep farm in Belgrade, and plans to expand the selection to include a few small mills in Colorado and eastern Washington.
“I started out the shop with mostly knitting and crocheting supplies. This spring I added spinning wheels and this fall I’ll be introducing weaving equipment and classes. I’ve added a spinning group that meets Thursdays from 1-4 where all are welcome to learn the art. And Sundays from 2-4 pm remain for known as “Sock Sunday.” All are welcome to learn.”
The yarn shop is located at 307 Dewey Avenue, inside the Front Porch, and is open daily.
