Rebecca Rauser has only been in Eureka about two years, but she’s found a place of need in the Tobacco Valley that she can help to fill: home care for the elderly or ill.
Having worked for over 20 years as a nurse’s aide in the Flathead Valley and Michigan, she’s cared for people with a broad range of needs and conditions. With this substantial experience behind her, several months ago she began giving care in this community.

“I’ve seen it all,” Rauser said, referencing treatments and procedures now outdated, and the many people for whom she has provided care. Beyond simple care for the elderly, she has had training and experience with Alzheimer’s patients, nursing home residents, wound care, diabetes, and other conditions.
“There’s a need everywhere, I think, for this. People find it’s just nice that the client can stay home instead of going to a facility.”
Rebecca’s Home Care can make a great difference in peoples lives by providing care they need without moving to a facility.
“I want to provide quality in-home care at a reasonable rate,” Rauser said.
For the community, Rebecca’s Home Care can be an important service that makes hard circumstances or decisions easier. This is helped even further by Rauser’s reasons for being a caregiver. She was exposed to it at a young age, personally and professionally, and consequently Rauser is confident in her service.
“I just genuinely care; people need people,” she said.
