Danella Miller Photoraphy

Danella Miller Photo

Local Trego resident Danella Miller was a professional oil painter for 15 years before she picked up a camera – and it shows.
In only two years, she has gone from photographing her children’s friends and local scenery to a full-fledged photography and design business. She has done weddings, senior photos, modeling and glamour shots, family portraits, the Montana Galaxy Beauty Pageant, and Miss Montana America contestants’ photos. She uses all professional equipment and software for her studio and photojournalism style photography.
“I have to give all the credit to God,” Miller said. “Because I could never see it ending up the way it is now.”
The second half of the business is all about creative design for web sites, both Flash and HTML, business logos and cards, letterheads, marketing kits, and anything else graphic related. All of it is done in her home office with top-of-the-line design and editing software and printed in the best labs in the country. She began design work six months ago, and it has already become a full-time job with clients ranging from Montana to Australia and around the world.
“I offer something different than what most people do,” Miller said. “I make their web site look totally different from anyone else’s.”
Her web site designs are made completely original for each business, are easy to navigate, and are visually appealing to visitors. Other photographers from around the world have come to Miller for web site templates, and she has done design work for local and distant businesses.
“My goal is to learn all I can to make what we offer the best for people’s needs,” Miller explained. “And I really feel like my prices are reasonable for the quality.”
Her clients certainly seem to think so. For her design work, Miller works full-time and may have to hire help this coming year. For photographing weddings, she enlists her husband Jarrell Miller. After up to 10 hours and 1,400 photos later, the real work begins. Editing, processing, and preparing the photos for the customer can take up to 40 hours of editing for a single wedding.
The business came out of “her need to be creative”, according to Miller.
“There is more demand for photography,” Miller said. “And it’s something I can do and still be home with my children.”
