The Dollar Thing is adding new products and services!
For the last four years the store, managed by Peggy Hanson and Sara Sherwood, has sold a large assortment of items ranging from toys, cards, pet supplies, housewares, and more, for one dollar. Now you can find items ranging in price from $1 to $10 in a variety of categories.

“We’re still bringing in $1 items,” Sherwood said. “But we wanted to be able to offer more by bringing in items for more than $1.”
Most of the new inventory they are offering for more than $1 will be seasonal and holiday specific. For Halloween you will find kids’ costumes from infant on up, various costume accessories, decorations and party supplies. For the upcoming Christmas season you will see a larger selection of gifts and toys. Almost weekly they are bringing in new items throughout the store.
“There’s just so many things here you can’t get anywhere else in Eureka,” Hanson said.
“It’s convenience at a low price,” added Sherwood.
The Dollar Thing is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with holiday hours extended. Credit cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
